In July 2008, C.A. Bancorp acquired 85% of Barlow Capital Management Inc., a fee-for-service boutique investment counsellor and portfolio manager. Focused on high-net-worth investors, Barlow has an eight-year operating history with annual investment returns averaging 13% since inception.
Barlow operates a distinct asset management platform modelled after successful endowments such as the Yale Foundation. They employ a multi-asset class, multi-manager approach that brings together the best elements of traditional and alternative asset (private equity, real estate and hedge funds), investment strategies with the objective of providing superior risk-adjusted and absolute returns.
