Everus Communications Inc.
In June 2008, C.A. Bancorp provided growth capital to Everus Communications Inc., a wireless broadband Internet service provider to rural communities in Southwestern Ontario.
Everus Communications Inc. is the largest rural WiMAX broadband provider in Southwestern Ontario with over 100 transmission towers. Based in Kitchener, Ontario, Everus utilizes WiMAX technology to provide affordable, accessible and efficient broadband Internet access connections and related services, including VOIP, to customers who are not currently served by conventional infrastructure (cable or telephone networks), at speeds that rival connections offered by the incumbent telecommunication providers. Everus's business model is based on recurring monthly revenue from long-term customer contracts.
